Intention before the command
Interpret requirements, make ambiguities explicit and propose operations via the API. The planned copilot should augment the engineer's decision capacity, not replace it.
Unit CAD is a general-purpose parametric CAD platform. The proposed evolution connects the existing reported base, engineering engines and a voice and text copilot. HVAC will be the first specialized vertical, without restricting the product to one sector.
From your voice to manufacturing. The proposal is to bring intent, calculation, modeling and documentation closer: the AI interprets and coordinates, deterministic engines calculate and validate, and the engineer retains decision and project approval. As reported, CAD base and HPS/X-Coil engines exist; integrations/AI and automations are planned; no public release confirmed; payments remain in testing/test environment.
Interpret requirements, make ambiguities explicit and propose operations via the API. The planned copilot should augment the engineer's decision capacity, not replace it.
Critical calculations, selections and rules must remain in deterministic engines, supported by technical sources, traceable dependencies and review before issuance.
Separate the CAD base and the existing engines reported from the planned integrations. This presentation is not a code audit, and there is no public release announced.
Nine phases organize technical priorities and dependencies. The start focuses on APIs, voice, parametric editing and 2D detailing; multidisciplinary expansion will come in layers, not by fixed dates.
Explore the nine phasesThe reported base already includes parametric modeling, sheet metal and assemblies. The first phase should connect the internal API to the copilot and prioritize improvement and automation of manufacturing detailing.
The living master document should organize requirements and dependencies. HPS integration precedes the X-Coil connection to compare thermal solutions, leveraging deterministic knowledge already reported in those engines.
Electrical and 3D panel, AutoLayout, P&ID, AutoRoute, integrated documentation and advanced optimization make up the sequence. The functional P&ID evolves with selection and precedes routing. Duct routing, nesting, libraries and ERP remain as planned expansions.

Submit a questionUnit CAD is a professional 3D parametric and multidisciplinary CAD platform to develop products, machines and equipment. The team reports an existing CAD base; Unit AI and Engineering Core are the next planned layers. HVAC will be the first major specialization, not a usage limit.
As reported by the team, the base includes solids, parametrics, reconstruction-enabled assembly tree, extrusions, cuts, surfaces, planes, sheet metal, hems, bends, unfolds, flat patterns, DXF and assemblies. Advanced assembly relations and 2D engineering drawings are in improvement. This presentation does not constitute a code audit nor independent validation.
Voice and text operation is planned for Unit AI. It should interpret requirements and command tools via the CAD's controlled APIs, with previews, ambiguity confirmation and reversible history. The site examples are illustrative, not an operational voice interface.
There is no public version announced yet. The site presents the reported base and planned evolution, and accepts expressions of interest. Creating an account does not grant a license or guarantee early access.
AI will interpret and coordinate operations. Deterministic engines will execute calculations, selections, rules and critical validations, with traceability. The responsible engineer must review and approve the project before manufacturing.
Yes, as reported by the team. HPS gathers component selection rules and bill of materials; X-Coil Unit sizes coils and generates their 3D geometry. APIs and conversational integration with Unit AI are planned, not deployed in this presentation.
The chosen architecture is hybrid: local CAD, geometry, rendering and 2D detailing; AI interpretation and orchestration in the cloud. Hardware and operating system requirements have not yet been announced. The design provides for controlled APIs and limits on sending confidential data.
DXF export integrates the reported existing base. Other formats and compatibility with external software depend on specific confirmation and validation; there is no complete public list announced.
Taking the model to manufacturing requires views, sections, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, identification and bills of materials. Improving 2D and automating it with deterministic rules is an initial Unit AI priority, always with review before issuance.
The proposal distinguishes the base CAD license from optional AI and AI Pro add-ons and the Enterprise corporate offering. A perpetual or subscription license is still under consideration. Units will be used only for AI features, with prices, allowances and rules subject to approval. Conventional CAD use will not consume Units.
No. These are conceptual images generated to illustrate 3D modelling applications, not Unit CAD results nor validated manufacturing projects. The interactive viewer is a demonstration independent from the site, not the CAD editor.
These fronts remain in the expansion vision after the main architecture. Air duct routing is distinct from piping; nesting will complement sheet metal preparation. Technical libraries, thermal break, BOM, ERP, analyses, reports and computational testing are also planned.
